Prospective players are requested to conclude a contract with Energinet.dk on balance responsibility. Please find a copy of the standard form "Agreement on balance responsibility" on the right-hand menu.
To be accepted as balance responsible party the player must meet the following requirements:
- The player must have a VAT registration certificate issued in Denmark or in another EU country.
- The player must state all necessary master data via our electronic master data form for balance responsible parties.
- The player must be approved by a credit insurance company to be granted a credit line, please see regulation C1 on the right-hand menu
- The player must sign the Danish version of the agreement on balance responsibility (the English version is an unofficial translation for information only) appendix 1. Please find appendix 1 on the right-hand menu. Prior to entering the "Agreement on balance responsibility" the prospective player must complete the form "Master data for balance responsible parties" via the electronic registration form. Based on this information Energinet.dk prepares the agreement on balance responsibility to be signed by the player.
The prospective player will only have to sign one agreement on balance responsibility irrespective of activity, i.e. production, consumption and/or trade and area i.e. active in Western Denmark (DK1) and/or in Eastern Denmark (DK2).
- The player must - if relevant - send an on-demand bank guarantee, see section 4.2 in Regulation C1. Please find Regulation C1 on the right-hand menu.
- The player must have concluded a test of data transmission to Energinet.dk, please see Regulation F on the right-hand menu.
Changes to master data must be registered in the standard form "Master data for balance responsible parites" (appendix 2) and submitted to Energinet.dk. Please find appendix 2 on the right-hand menu.
Prospective players are also required to:
- Acquire a GLN (Global Location Number) – a 13-digit number for unique player identification – by contacting GS1 Denmark on phone no. +45 39 27 85 27. Foreign GLN can also be used. The GLN must be stated in connection with master data
- (EIC (European Identification Code) - only relevant if an agreement with TenneT TSO GmbH and/or 50Hertz Transmission GmbH is signed at the same time. For further information please see Energinet.dk's regulation F. The EIC must be stated in connection with master data)
- (Sign an agreement with Nord Pool, if relevant)
- (Sign an agreement with TenneT TSO GmbH, if relevant)
- (Sign an agreement with 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, if relevant).
