There are no immediate socioeconomic benefits from establishing a new power link between Eastern and Western Denmark. This is demonstrated by the analyses initiated by Energinet.dk in the spring of 2011 as a part of the work of preparing an ancillary services strategy, eg with a view to additional reserves sharing between Eastern and Western Denmark.

Energinet.dk will therefore now examine how system security and the necessary reserves can be safeguarded in the long run through other measures.
