With a view to strengthening Danish energy research, the Danish Energy Authority has in recent years and in collaboration with a broad circle of players within the industry prepared a number of strategies for research into various energy technologies.

Purpose
The purpose of these strategies is to ensure that the various Danish energy research programmes pursue the same objectives when granting funding. At the same time, the strategies must provide potential applicants with a clear idea of how far Danish energy research has come in relation to development plans, milestones etc.
Energinet.dk has taken part in most of the strategy work.

Other energy research strategies
As the transmission system operator, Energinet.dk has prepared a number of contributions to the development of technologies which fall outside the energy strategies published by the Danish Energy Authority. This applies, for example, to the development of demand response.

Other reviews
Energinet.dk participates in a number of reviews in collaboration with partners from within the energy sector. As the transmission system operator, Energinet.dk has a natural role to play in such collaboration as Energinet.dk is responsible for the overall electricity and natural gas system and for contributions for R&D. This applies, for example, to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency’s NOx committee, the Danish Energy Authority’s work within the fields of emergency fuel supplies and security of supply and Nordel’s analyses of priority cross-sections in the Nordic electricity system etc.
