On Wednesday 31 September 2011 a kick-off meeting was held at the Hilton Copenhagen Airport hotel to mark the official beginning of the EcoGrid EU project. Representatives from each of the 16 partners in the project were present and helped make the day a success.

In total 48 persons from 10 different countries participated in the event.
