In this concept, research institutions join forces with businesses to develop a product/concept all the way through to practical use, and it is therefore important to involve the end user early in the process.
Energinet.dk recommends that businesses form consortiums so as to obtain a substantial grant. Applicants are invited to submit large, well-prepared applications and let them compete for grants of DKK 25-40 million, for example, of the DKK 130 million budget.
Prequalification of consortium applications
As has been the case with previous calls, the 2012 call also offers the possibility of applying for funding for large consortiums. However, the application procedure has been tightened to ensure that only the most qualified consortiums receive funding and prevent consortiums from using unnecessary resources on writing applications that are not granted anyway. As such, mandatory prequalification of consortium applications has been introduced. Click here for more information.
Deadline
Deadline for submission of interest has passed and only the consortiums which are informed on 1 July 2011, at the latest, that they may proceed to prepare a complete application, can submit a complete consortium application by the ordinary deadline, ie 7 September 2011.
To apply for prequalification, the document "Template - Prequalification of a consortia project" had to be used. The template is available under "Read more" to the right of the page. Applications for prequalification was submitted by email to forskel@energinet.dk.
