GIE: Gas is an integral part of the Roadmap 2050
At the GIE (Gas Infrastructure Europe) Annual Conference held in Edinburgh with the European Gas Infrastructure Industry and the main European stakeholders the role of natural gas and its underlying infrastructure was discussed.

In his opening speech at the conference, GIE President Jean-Claude Depail underlined the important role that gas will have to play in the future energy mix by 2050.

Please find attached a press release referring to the opening speech regarding opportunities in building the appropriate gas infrastructure for the future energy mix.

Gas is an integral part of the Roadmap 2050 and plays an important part in achieving competition, security of supply and sustainability. GIE takes initiatives towards the EU Parliament and the EU Commission. Please see the pamphlet ‘Gas as an integral part of the Roadmap 2050’
