We sell commercial capacity on interruptible terms when the maximal physical capacity limit in an entry or exit point is reached, for instance at the German border. This is possible because it is not until the actual gas day that the shippers will nominate and be allocated the physical amount of gas which they have made reservations for or commercially bought.
Shippers, whose agreements are on interruptible terms, will be commercially interrupted in case of lack of physical capacity in the system, for instance at the German border.
We have temporarily removed the option to buy annual and monthly products at Ellund and Dragør. This is done to secure the maximum availability of bundled capacity products. During the point auctions at the interconnection points both firm and interruptible contracts are available.
From 1 October 2011, the monthly capacity products available will be:
- Firm exit capacity (Ellund and Dragor)
- nterruptible exit capacity level 1 (Ellund and Dragor)
- Interruptible entry capacity level 1 (Dragor)
- Interruptible exit level 2 (Dragor).
Furthermore, a new interruptible product will be introduced it interruptible capacity level 3, which is defined as:
- Reserved Ellund exit firm capacity + Ellund exit interruptible level 1 ÷ already sold Ellund Entry interruptible level 2
The interruptible capacity products are subject to a rebate, based on Energinet.dk's calculation on chance of interruption. For more information, please read the Interruptible Capacity Methodology document. For interruptible capacity price levels, please view our current price list.
