Every day before 11 a.m. the distribution companies inform Energinet.dk of each of their consumer portfolios' consumption of gas the previous day.

Every day before 12 a.m. Energinet.dk informs the shippers of their allocated amounts of gas the previous day as well as of their energy balances.

If the allocations to the consumer portfolios deviate more than +/-20% from the nominations made by the shippers, the shippers are charged a nomination fee. If the shippers' allocations are higher than the capacity they have bought, they are charged an overrun charge.

Allocations at the storage points are made every hour. Energinet.dk allocates the amount of gas equal to the shippers' approved storage nomination.

Allocations in the entry and transit points are matched daily. Energinet.dk allocates to the shippers the amount of gas which is approved for each shipper through matching.
