Heat pumps and electric cars
Heat pumps and electric vehicles can play a key role in relation to the requirements that Denmark must fulfil to achieve its EU targets.

Forty percent of the Danish target for CO2 reductions in the sectors not subject to emission allowances can be achieved in 2020, by developing intelligent interaction between heat pumps, electric vehicles and wind power.

This is the main finding in the analysis 'Efficient use of wind power-based electricity in Denmark' published by Energinet.dk on March 9, 2009.
