Health, Safety & Environment has launched a new ambitious HSE strategy. The primary focus areas include a LTIF below 2, management standards for HSE as well as ensuring that HSE becomes a naturally integrated part of daily work conduct takes co-responsibility for development taking place in society within the company’s fields of activity. The same applies to the topics health, safety and environment. wishes to raise the bar in these areas as well and take responsibility for minimising any negative effects of our activities on both people and environment.’s activities must not cause neither work accidents nor negative impact on the environment. To achieve this, we work with health, safety and environment in a systematised manner. We follow the OHSAS 18001 (health and safety) and are currently implementing ISO14001 (environment).’s top management is the primary owner of the policies for health, safety and environment, the HSE-strategy and the occupational health work in They approve the strategy and the annual targets as well as follow up on progress within each area. Top management is represented in the internal health and safety organisation. Awareness and involvement is further ensured by the top management’s participation in in safety and environment walks.
The QHSE department formulates and maintains’s environmental policy and support the internal health and safety organisation in formulation and maintenance of the health and safety policy. Furthermore the department is responsible for development and implementation of’s HSE strategy – including annual targets within the areas. The department is responsible for HSE education of all employees in and provides guidance on HSE matters to the organisation.
The HSE coordinators provide day to day HSE coordination on’s projects and also support the organisation on smaller tasks with legal HSE coordination requirements. The coordinators are primarily employed in the QHSE department which ensures a high level of expertise.
The Health and Safety Organisation (AMO) handles internal health and safety matters in The organisation sets annual targets and makes action plans for ongoing improvement of health and safety for’s own employees. Furthermore AMO ensures execution of an annual workplace assessment; follows up on the results and participate in accident and incident analysis within the areas of their responsibility. Finally they ensure that’s top management is provided with the necessary information on the company’s internal health, safety and environment.
