Energinet.dk usually chooses the ‘negotiated procedure’ when inviting tenders, which is possible according to the EU Utilities Directive. All tenderers submitting compliant tenders are invited to negotiate. After the negotiation meeting, it is possible for tenderers to submit a revised tender.

Once the negotiations have been held and any revised tenders received, Energinet.dk selects the financially most attractive tender based on the stated awarding criteria.
