Energinet.dk maintains rating
The rating agency Standard & Poor's maintains Energinet.dk's AA credit rating in its annual review.

Energinet.dk's rating consists of a credit rating for the owner (the Danish state), which is AAA, and a credit rating for Energinet.dk on a stand-alone basis. In light of Energinet.dk's comprehensive investment programme in the years to come, Standard & Poor's has downgraded Energinet.dk's stand-alone rating from A+ to A. The overall AA rating is maintained.

Energinet.dk's expected investment requirement in the coming three years exceeds DKK 12 billion, which will substantially increase the enterprise's debt. Standard & Poor's attaches importance to the falling creditworthiness due to the increasing debt but emphasises that the state ownership and the break-even principle consolidate the enterprise's financial position. The fact that Energinet.dk has access to highly advantageous financing through Danmarks Nationalbank is of great benefit for the electricity and gas consumers.
