Energinet.dk’s Grid Committee is a joint committee between Energinet.dk and the distribution companies appointed to ensure an efficient and trusting relationship.

The task of the Grid Committee is to ensure economic operation and development of the entire power system, including coordinated planning of the transmission and distribution systems, pinpointing system challenges in the distribution system, and ensuring the implementation of the initiatives that are part of the general development of the interconnected power system.

The distribution companies appoint 11 members through the Danish Energy Association – Net. Energinet.dk participates with 4 members and provides a secretary. A member of Energinet.dk is appointed chairman of the Committee.

The Grid Committee meets as required, at least 4 times a year as a minimum. The Committee may set up temporary sub-committees and working groups and hold special feature days as required.
