The invoicing itself is based on data from Energinet.dk’s own measuring and meter readings and allocations in the power and gas distribution systems. Special rules for settlement apply to renewable energy sources.
Data on both the gas and power markets is reported to Energinet.dk each business day of the month. The calender below indicates business days on both the Danish gas and power markets.
Energinet.dk distributes and settles support to the production of renewable energy and settles other types of power producing plants. Energinet.dk is also responsible for issuing guarantees of origin enabling producers of renewable source energy to prove the origin of the source.
Energinet.dk measures the composition of the natural gas to determine its calorific value. The calorific value is used to calculate the transported amounts of energy, as this is what the consumers pay for, and not the delivered volume of gas.
Energinet.dk provides information about gas qualities for settlement purposes at designated points in the transmission grid.
