Energinet.dk is right now in the process of finalising the Open Season capacity agreements to be signed in January 2010. And all relevant shippers will receive further information next week.
The primary purpose of the tariff methodology revision is to establish the princi-ples for internalising new required assets in the transmission system, facilitating the long-term physical import of gas to the Danish and Swedish home markets. The principles must be laid down, at least in preliminary wording, in order to give the participants in Open Season 2009 anticipating to enter into long-term agreements on reservation of new entry capacity at the Ellund interconnection point, the required information. The proposed principle involves differentiated capacity tariffs, which differs from the current practice of uniform tariffs at all points and in the Danish Exit Zone.
Energinet.dk will formalise and keep up a tariff methodology revision process in 2010, where improvements of other aspects of the tariff design can be proposed and discussed. The detailed time schedule including milestones will be presented at the Shippers' Forum on 9 March 2010.
