Online booking of natural gas

The online system gives shippers access to functionalities online. It provides a wide rage of possibilities for booking and trading transport.

Through a login the shippers gain access to:

  • An overview of agreements
  • Book and move capacity
  • Transfer capacity
  • Balance information, showing your balance status before, within and after the gas day, including information on imbalances
  • Book balancing service
  • Transfer balancing service
  • Make their daily nominations
  • Credit usage

If you whish to use the online system you need to sign an online access agreement. The agreement is appendix 5 to Rules for Gas Transport.

The online procedure is not avalilable for orders for annual and monthly capacity available for 1 October 2010

  • Shippers must use the manual procedure according to Rules for Gas Transport clauses 6.7–6.8. Orders for the period commencing on 1 October 2010 received before 0:00 am on Wednesday 1 September 2010 will be rejected.
  • The first-come-first-served principle (“FCFS”) in RfG clause 6.2.3 in this case means that all orders received in a certain period will be considered as having been received at the same time. Accordingly, capacity orders received during Wednesday 1 September and Thursday 2 September 2010 will be considered received at the same time. Scarcity of capacity – if any - will lead to a pro rata reduction of such orders.
  • Capacity orders received during Wednesday 1 September 2010 and Thursday 2 September 2010 for the period commencing on 1 October 2010 will be handled first and equally on 2 September 2010 cf. RfG 6.7.3. Accordingly, orders placed in this period will give the highest priority in regards to purchase of monthly or yearly capacity commencing on 1 October 2010.
  • Cf. the above FCFS interpretation, orders received after Thursday 2 September 2010 will be handled according to the ordinary FCFS principle. The time of arrival of the order indicates the FCFS order of priority (on a business day by business day basis).
  • After Friday 3 September 2010 the online procedure is available again.

Available capacity

The online portal also provides public access to see how much capacity is available at a given time in the Danish natural gas system.
